Yurta 2 - Original Painting

This iconic oil painting shows red yurt poles in front of a bright blue Kyrgyz sky. Yurts can be erected within a few hours. They are elaborately decorated with many ornamental ribbons. Only at the very end are they covered with large felt mats. The yurt poles also have a symbolic meaning: we were told that missing poles represent deceased family members.
